Preserving the past for future generations.
Falkner, Mississippi is a small, rural hometown, rich in history. Located in North East Mississippi and filled with patriotic citizens and a town government very interested, and actively working together to preserve the history of our hometown
In the spring of 2017, a small group of Falkner Citizens came together with a vision and began a project to develop a heritage museum for the purpose of preserving the history of the once thriving small town. Since the inception and organization of FMHM project, pictures and artifacts have been shared to be displayed and preserved through the Heritage Museum. FMHM is being located near the very spot of the old Falkner Depot in which we plan to display much of our rich history. The founding of Falkner, named for the Colonel W. C. Falkner and his railroad seems to have been the primary reason for the location of the town of Falkner, a community where some of the best people live.
