Much interest has ignited a special energy among the FMHM Members and Volunteers who are busy creating Custom Christmas Designs for the annual FMHM 2019 Christmas Bazaar sales.
While this work continues in several work shops, Susan’s famous She-Shed walls are bursting with Custom Made Wreathes, Ornaments, Garlands and Door Hangings. All the custom Christmas Crafters’ wares will be displayed in the old Cooper Hill School House in Downtown Falkner, MS beginning at 10:00 on Saturday Morning, November 9, 2019. The School House will be open to the Public every Saturday from 10:00 AM til 2:00 PM during the month of November and continue the first three Saturdays in December, 2019. Kid’s will have Breakfast with Santa beginning Saturday morning December 7. 2019 from 9:00 til noon where Christmas photo shoots with Santa will be available at a cost of $5.00 per family or donation to the FMHM Museum Project.
While the Christmas Crafts are being prepared for sale in the Cooper Hill School House the FMHM culinary artists and volunteers are at work scheduling special baking orders for Thanksgiving meals. Pre-ordered casseroles and pastries for the Holidays are now being scheduled through Nov. 23, 2019. Contact is Shelia Smith 662-284-5938 who will share schedule information, a food list and costs.
We are thrilled to be a part of the on going Museum Project for FMHM and encourage each of you to join us in our Holiday Sales, Foods and Festivities.
The plans for the 2019 tree lighting ceremony in the Park is December 7, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. in the Downtown Park Area. Please bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join us near the Gazebo where numerous trees will light up Falkner, MS. These trees will be sponsored through volunteers, memorials and dedications. Carols will ring out from the Gazebo and other special music will be heard from local groups and choirs. Coffee and Hot Chocolate bars will be set up in the Park. Special Christmas programs and Festive refreshments will follow the lighting ceremony hosted by our local Churches and Volunteer Groups. Printed information and scheduling details will soon be available. (Sponsored events through donations.)
